## Version 13 (Blockshop)

**Version 13.3.0 - Aug 25 2026**

- Brand new _Media row_ section for displaying up to three images or videos in a row, with aspect-ratio height options and optional overlay text
- Added a new _Stone_ theme preset with a swimwear-focused demo, and a new _Valla_ theme preset with a home fragrance-focused demo. Blockshop now ships with four presets — _Blockshop_, _Radiance_, _Stone_, and _Valla_ — each with tailored colors, typography, image ratios, and a fully designed demo storefront
- Added a _Social highlights_ section for curated lifestyle image grids with per-block social platform icons, link text, and button styles. Desktop shows a multi-column grid; mobile uses a one-block-per-slide slideshow. Designed to drive traffic to Instagram and other social channels, with the _Stone_ homepage demo updated to use it
- Added a _Fit scale_ block to the _Product page_ and _Featured product_ section. Position the indicator per product using a `custom.fit_scale` integer metafield (0–10), with customizable _Runs small_, _True to size_, and _Runs large_ labels. Products without a metafield use a configurable default position.
- Added a _Thumbnail position_ setting to the _Product page_ and _Featured product_ section. When media layout is set to _Thumbnails_, choose _Left_, _Right_, or _Below_ placement for the thumbnail strip.
- Added a _Display type_ setting to the _Related products_ section to choose between grid and slideshow layouts
- Added desktop and mobile section spacing settings in _Theme settings > Layout_ to customize the small, medium, large, and extra large spacing values used throughout the theme
- Added a _Link style_ setting in _Theme settings > Typography_ to choose between the classic underline link and an arrow link with underline on hover. The _Stone_ preset defaults to the arrow style
- Added a _Mobile size_ setting for buttons in _Theme settings > Typography_
- Added a _Match link size to block heading_ setting in _Theme settings > Typography_
- Added a _Price type_ setting in _Theme settings > Product grid_ to choose between small and paragraph text for product card prices
- Added a container width setting to the main collection grid
- Added full width, mobile full width, and _Show article heading_ settings to the _Blog_ page, making it easier to build more editorial-style layouts
- Added video support to the _Popups_ section _Newsletter (small)_ and _Newsletter (large)_ blocks. Choose image or video media, with Shopify video upload or YouTube/Vimeo link options
- Added Shopify's new customer accounts to the header (desktop and mobile), replacing the legacy customer account experience. Legacy account templates and sections have been removed — stores still on legacy accounts that upgrade will be automatically moved to the latest customer accounts. Includes a _Customer account menu_ setting for the account sheet links

- Reworked the _Popups_ section: _Newsletter (small)_ and _Newsletter (large)_ replace the previous _Newsletter_ and _Large promotion_ blocks, and _Promotion bar_ replaces _Small promotion_. _Newsletter (large)_ supports a centered modal layout, customizable width, and left or right image placement. _Newsletter (small)_ supports top or left image placement, image size options, and a compact bottom-corner layout.
- Added a _Cart label_ setting in _Theme settings > Cart_ to choose between Cart and Bag terminology across the header, add to cart button, cart drawer, and related messages

### Important note for existing stores (Blockshop)

This release includes significant foundational changes. As a result, upgrading from an earlier version may require additional review and testing.

If your current theme is working well and you do not need the changes introduced in this release immediately, you may prefer to remain on your existing version for now and plan your upgrade in a future release.

### Blockshop — A New Visual Direction

Blockshop has undergone a substantial design update in this release, refining the theme toward a more minimal, considered, and luxury-focused aesthetic.

This update is holistic in nature and affects many areas of the theme, including layout systems, typography, spacing, and overall visual tone. Because of the scope of the changes, individual updates are not listed in detail.

We recommend reviewing the latest Blockshop demos to understand the full extent of the new design language. If you are upgrading from an earlier version, we encourage you to explore and test the update in a duplicated, unpublished theme before proceeding.
